About
Stephanie Jeane is a classically trained Canadian-American trilingual actress based in New York City. She also dances, sings, models and performs comedy. Raised by a single mom, she immigrated from Dalian to Montreal when she was four, where she attended French school. She grew up as an international nomad, also living in Boston, London, Abu Dhabi, and San Francisco. She is a native speaker of French, Mandarin and English.
A lifelong learner, Stephanie graduated with High Honors from the University of California, Berkeley in 2018, and received her M.F.A. in Acting from Columbia University in 2022. She is actively working on projects across the nation, and is currently represented by Bright Artist Management, FireStarter Entertainment, and Stewart Talent.
After wrapping her first feature film, Midnight Momo, Stephanie lead her first two-header in Llyod Suh’s The Heart Sellers at Phillipstown Depot Theater, directed by Nina Zoie Lam, co-founder of NAAP, and produced by Artistic Director Alice Jankell, who worked as the Associate Director of Williamstown Theater Festival and a Creative Director at Disney.
Stephanie also starred in Jonathan Spector’s award-winning play, Eureka Day, alongside Emmy Award winner Gordon Clapp, at Shaker Bridge Theater. A lover of Shakespeare, she worked on Hip to Hip Theatre’s repertory of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Winter’s Tale, and Hamlet Isn’t Dead’s As You Like It.
A resident actor at Playground-NY, a nationwide new works incubator, Stephanie starred in Uma Incrocci’s festival winner, Marathon Dan. A champion of marginalized stories, Stephanie helped develop NYU MFA playwright and composer Ziyan Yang’s immigrant story, initially at the New York Theater Festival, and later at the Chain Theater’s One-Act Winter Festival.
In 2025, she was featured as the marathon runner in the opening short for the WNBA New York Liberty’s Ring Ceremony, starring Spike Lee.
Aside from her dramatic acting, she is an improviser and sketch performer in the House and Sketch Teams at The Armory Comedy. Stephanie is a member of Road House (sketch), DLG (improv), and Karma Champ (musical improv). She also performs at Upright Citizens Brigade, and the Magnet Theater.
